Aquarius and Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius)
Aquarius is an Air sign and may be suited to another Air sign. This combination is a meeting of minds and both are likely to work well together on an intellectual level. They may communicate well with each other and enjoy exchanging ideas on a variety of subjects. But they may spend more time debating a situation than putting plans into action, or dealing with practical issues.
Aquarius and Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius)
There is considerable affinity between Fire and Air. Fire needs the oxygen in Air to keep burning. Air fans the flames of fire, creating more action and desire. Fire and air are compatible, as both are outgoing and free-thinking. Fire warms air by enthusing and inspiring its intellectual capabilities. Without the intellectual vision and impartial judgement of Air, the headstrong action of Fire might lack perspective.
Aquarius and Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn)
Air tends to dry up Earth, causing dust to be formed. Yet Earth needs to be aerated in order for life to flourish. Earth and Air make a blend of practice and theory. Air may need to be brought down to Earth sometimes and to acknowledge the need for ideas to be practically applied. Earth may need Air to remind it that there is more to life than the material plane. Without the intellectual vision and impartial judgement of air, the material pursuits of earth would lack perspective.
Aquarius and Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces)
Air and Water could be seen as a partnership between intellect and emotion. Intellect and emotion are a necessary blend. Intellect divorced from emotion may result in an insensitive attitude. Emotion, without the benefit of intellect, may result in hysteria. Air may feel that Water is too subjective and absorbed in their feelings to grasp the reality of a situation. Air has difficulty finding its feelings and relating to people at an emotional level and is better at writing about its feelings or analysing them. Just as in nature, high wind can whip the waves into furious activity, if Air is too critical, Water may react not just with moodiness, but possibly an emotional storm.
