Capricorn and Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn)
Capricorn is an Earth sign and may be suited to another Earth sign. A mutual interest in the physical side of relationship may provide a basis for mutual satisfaction. But they may take each other too much for granted. Both may respect each other’s common sense approach. But the relationship could be rather unadventurous. Both are pre-meditative and cautious, placing its faith in that which is visible, reliable and useful. Both have good organising ability. Both are conservative and practical, bring possibilities into actuality and see things through to the end. Both are painstaking and dependable and treat life as a serious business. Both believe in creating stability, security and endurable structure.
Capricorn and Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius)
Fire can scorch earth, while too much earth can stifle fire. Fire can destroy materials and scorch Earth, while too much Earth can stifle Fire. Earth’s metals can be rendered malleable by Fire and shaped more readily into various useful or decorative forms. While a harmonious combination of Earth and Fire may be difficult to achieve, each needs the other. Enthusiasm, unbalanced by practical common sense can lead Fire into danger, while Earth needs inspiration and daring to avoid falling into a rut.
Capricorn and Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius)
Air tends to dry up Earth, causing dust to be formed. Yet Earth needs to be aerated in order for life to flourish. Earth and Air make a blend of practice and theory. Air may need to be brought down to Earth sometimes and to acknowledge the need for ideas to be practically applied. Earth may need Air to remind it that there is more to life than the material plane. Without the intellectual vision and impartial judgement of air, the material pursuits of earth would lack perspective.
Capricorn and Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces)
Earth contains and limits the rivers and oceans. But controlled irrigation of deserts makes land arable. If Earth makes an effort to understand Water’s emotional moods and needs, and Water concedes that sometimes feelings have to be sacrificed in the name of progress, the two may be more in harmony.
